Cody
returns to New York on Sunday, April 6 for his quarterly check-up to identify
any changes in his remission from Neuroblastoma.
While there, he will undergo 5
days of immunotherapy, which is extremely painful. He will relax over the
weekend with Mom and return to the clinic for 3 days of body scans, followed by
bone marrow aspirations. After that, he’ll fly home with Mom to Texas.
Cody
now weighs 40.4 pounds. He is looking great. His hair is coming back in – thick
and blonde.
He loves to play, but still has sore knee joints from his Accutane prescription,
which is also used as an anti-cancer/chemotherapy drug.
He just began a regime
on injections to raise his white blood cell count because his upcoming
treatment will wipe out them out.
Cody
got a white bunny rabbit for Easter (right). He's looking so much better than he did a few months ago at the Ronald McDonald House's Petting Zoo (above).
As always, thank you for your continued prayers and good thoughts. You make a difference.
