Highland Hills Neighborhood Update

June 30th 2012

We are just so blessed to be living in such a great neighborhood.  The support has been tremendous, all the neighbours in our small community have been there for us from the get go.  David and Ty Sadler looked after our horses and cat for months on end while we were in New York and other hospitals.  Claudia so kindly made her delicious home made food and brought it up in between our short stays at home and was there with her nursing skills and advice.  Golden's granddaughter, Rhiannon emptied her very full piggy bank and donated her savings to Cody's Cancer Foundation.  Golden has since organised the neighbors for their input on fundraisers and the ideas are endless. We are so amazed by all your support, the weekly Tuesday night dinner is just great  and last weekend Kassidy and Kailan (Kim and Kevins children) did a lemonade and cookie stand at a garage sale and raised $123.50.  We can't thank you all enough.

Today is our neighborhood barbeque where Cody will practice for the very first time with his cool Ice Cream Van!   We will post pictures later on today after the event.

Cody's and our ultimate goal will be to set up a Non Profit Neuroblastoma Foundation so we can help support other families going through the same journey as ourselves.  We are hoping that we can use the ice cream van to help raise money.  Our lives have been forever changed by this experience and we want be able to make something good and positive come out of all this.
